Re: First Strike on Mac?

hey, 50ish FPS on Medium settings on the Mac is a ton better than about 10fps on low settings on the PC...

and Imperial, if ya have it in .rar file form anywhere... i can download it... the only issue is that .exe files are Windows only thing.... so i cant use it....

and i have already bought the Mac version of the game, we are not running boot camp cause we are tired of all the damn virus'

Re: First Strike on Mac?

you know you can get 50fps on a pc worth £500. Well more like 70fps.

Re: First Strike on Mac?

lol... then their was our PC...

it was so bad with the virus'...... the day after the virus scanner died [for the 2nd time].... it took 4 hours to get it to a point where i could download McFee..... it found 300+ virus' while i was at freaking school.... unless somone was able to hack the computer itself... it got really bad.... and we have had so many issues with our PC over the 2006-2007 year... we were like hell, we are getting a Mac

Re: First Strike on Mac?

And how old was that PC?  I have a PC that runs the game at it's highest settings at 105 FPS usually, and I haven't had one virus with it.  I run vista and even though it has really crappy with compatibility issues, I can still fairly easily work around most problems, The main plus about vista is that it is far more secure than any other OS.  The reason mac's don't get many viruses is because PC's are dominating the market, hackers don't want to make viruses for OS's that take up 5-10% of the internet.  But the best part about it is that if my PC somehow breaks I can fix it myself rather than having to send it back to the company and wait a month.

Yes vista did steal a lot of things from a mac but imo that's what makes vista just an alright OS and not something I love to use.
