Suggestion: Record each Friday's night battle and post it on youtube.
Attract more ppl to it?

This would mean a lot of hours to cap and process...i don't think, this could work. But i am trying to get some good fighting scenes every time (i have some new ones right here, taken from the last event) and enlarge the FS Gaming Evening Trailer instead. I was missing some good scenes from entha and talooran - i think, i got them now wink If i manage to get through them (thank hamsters, i bought a hdd with enough space, because i randomly hit the record tab very often if i heard a lot of shooting  ^^), i ll update the trailer.

Maybe, if 1.2 ist out, i ll do a completely new one. (Death Star trench runs should offer some nice shots^^)

Concerning the time schedule: As the server is located in germany, a lot of americans could experience lags and high ping kicks (i am afraid, i noticed some of these the last evening), but we could  try an additional FS Game Event on Saturday with a better EST/PST time schedule. As i said: I think this could be a question of performanc more than of the right time we set up the evening.

Either way: The next event will be on 29... hope you will join us again!

Sure, taking parts of the fights are good too.

The games go on for some time, so you can always join a little late. I left the game at about 5pm EST with a full server.

It wouldn't be a little late.  I don't get home from work until 6PM at the earliest.  Usually on Friday it's 6:15PM because of weekend traffic.  That's 11:15 GMT.  If you guys are still playing strong after 5 hours, I'd be all for it.  It means a bunch of tired players for me to compete with... :-D

Re: FIRST STRIKE Community Gaming Evenings

Hell, it's worth a try. All it takes is that people believe others will be playing, so if US players start getting on around then there could be some good games.

Re: FIRST STRIKE Community Gaming Evenings

I'll be there.

Re: FIRST STRIKE Community Gaming Evenings

First of all, thanks for attending the First Strike Evening on last friday. We had a full server and a lot of fun. So, for the next one on 7. of march, we will change some mapsettings.

Mos entha - 16'
Escape frm hoth - 16'
Taloraan - 16'

Those three maps, set on 16 scale showed a very intense gameplay with 32 players! So we well keep those.

Endor - 32'
Mos espa - 32'

A lot of you demanded vehicles, so we will change those maps to 32 player version. This is, because even if there are less than 32 players online, the maps are not too big.

A last word, concerning the server-drops, we experienced last friday: this has been no server-crash, as i could figuer it out. It did indeed kick all players at map-change. So, if this occures next friday, please just re-join again until the reason is found.

If there are any proposals (more/less tickets), please feel free to add a comment here.

i already thought of  changing the maps to 32' in general with allowing 50 players in total.

Would be nice to have you with us on 7th of march again, starting 19 GMT

Re: FIRST STRIKE Community Gaming Evenings

As several players complained, that they had to wait for spacefighters on taloraan and hoth, we will set up the server with 32' size maps in general. In addition, there will be 50% more slots available (48).
