In that pic the guy with binocs has a white one I think? And the other two's are black it seems.

Arm thingies? What color was it?
lol
I hope you don't mean pauldrons? Cos S-K mention those already

EDIT:
taken from: http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Sandtrooper
Sandtroopers wore colored pauldrons as a designation of rank. A sandtrooper sergeant's pauldron was white, while an enlisted trooper's pauldron was all black. Squad leaders, who led units of seven troopers, wore orange shoulder pauldrons

Re: sand troopers

There used to be a really good side by side comparison website that pointed out all thew minicule differences between Sandys and stormys. But it no-longer exists sad

Basic differences:
Sandys - pauldron, different knee armour, big black backpacks, black pouches on armour, dirty, older model armour (first production armour, slightly different to later (in the movie and sequels) armour )

"Their armor consisted of an 18 piece anti-blaster cocoon shell"
Yeah, as if that ever helps.

Searching through Wookieepedia, I found this AT-AT pilot

Do we have to wear that when piloting an AT-AT?

Re: sand troopers

The AT-AT pilot is just a TIE pilot in white.

Re: sand troopers

It's not so embarrassing in black (in fact it's kickass), but for some reason white...

Re: sand troopers

The helmets are sooo fat...

I wonder why they didn't have them wear gunner helmets like in the DS instead lol.

Re: sand troopers

There are some other subtle differences between the TIE Pilot and AT-AT Pilot, the helmets have a few different details appart from the colour, the life support pack is different also with the hoses going to the rear of the helmet (for perhaps some sort of mechanism other than providing oxygen, maybe heat because of the cold environment of Hoth?) and he has a few cast offs from Imperial Snowtroopers, their shoulder pads (General Veers also nicked the Snowtroopers' torso armour for his own gear).

But yeah, pretty much basically a TIE Pilot in white.
