Re: Thanks for two great rounds

People will start joining if we keep playing! If i can get BR working then I'll have it on, if not then I'll just do some Fraps recording.

Re: Thanks for two great rounds

Yeah, another lesson learned: tunnel vision kills. If the Imps had kept coming at us down the street I would've kept slaughtering them en masse with my MKII (it felt like that Stalingrad level in Call of Duty where the Russians are mowed down by MG fire - except I wasn't a conscript this time, I was doing the killing big_smile ). Instead some came from the south through the alley, some went into the house on the street and flanked north, and there were even one or two landing with speeder bikes on the Docking Bay ring southwest of the Palace Ruins to fire at us from high up (you can tell we're flanked from the Last Stand pic'). I should've told the Combat Speeder to go north, or told my squad to split in two so we could deploy a second MKII. Oh well.

It seems that people have become more experienced and have realized that if you play using tactics and solid squad work the game will really shine, and the space battles earlier were awesome.

My best memory from the space battles is sitting in a Corvette pelting a nearby Lancer while all of a sudden two containers eerily drift past from a destroyed Bulk Freighter. I just thought to myself... wow, how awesome space is going to be if/when every ship gets wreck meshes and you can dogfight or get in cap ship firefights in 'graveyards' of debris from fighters and cap ships.

I guess we all need to get on XFire. Not that there aren't community games coming up anyway smile .

Yea safe about the north flank... I was over there after dying in the combat speeder, I laid prox mines in their only entrance point but TEAMMATES ran into them hmm

Oh well.

I almost never use proximity mines as it seems to be a law of nature that they kill six times as many friendlies as hostiles, regardless of how clearly you place them and how many warnings you give your teammates.

Re: Thanks for two great rounds

mines are pretty annoying for your own team as well because they often block off places you want to defend.
