Re: Squad Leader Success points

Is it a requirement to get badges that you're in a squad 100% of the time you're trying for it? If not, it really should be.

I actually agree with him. If someone doesnt want to go the class needed, then they shouldnt be in the squad. Beware, such actions and comments get you banned from servers though wink

Angry at the noob not safe I mean. Also I think that there should be a teamwork requirment of some sort for each badge, being in a squad maybe.

Hm, personally i think the BF 2142 Vanilla Fieldupgrades are a much better way to promote Teamwork.

Stats are fine if they are used as tool to vote the commander. I think it would also a good idea to use the same tool for limited classes / vehicles.
Take for example the teamkilling for vehicles:
If you must apply for this verhicle like for the commander and the vehicle goes to the players with the most badges for this kind of vehicle the most skilled player gets the jet.

Re: Squad Leader Success points

on the subject of team kills, i think if you walk into a friendly mine it should count against YOUR teamwork points , not the support guy trying to do his job.

On the subject of voting for vehicles? Only the experts taking vehicles leads to vehicle whoring and doesn't give others a chance to become proficient at their use.

same with commanding, squad leading. Every now and then i leave my squad and rejoin it to give someone else a chance to be SL, not because they're necessarily better, but because people should learn these things.

And on the pins? 30 pts is a LOT to get. if you can get yor 15 support/heal points and then get 15 points - chances are you aren't playing right. 15 points implys that you are either:

Not killing enemy soldiers- just wounding them to get Kill damage assists

Not trying to win the game- if you manage to get that many capture points, the enemy are bleeding out through some holes in your lines.

or some combination of the above two.

The starfighter pin for example requires you to kill 15 people, easy enough.
But then it requires you to WOUND 15 people and let someone else take them out, unless you are getting SL radius bonus points.

It may be one of the hardest badges to get, I've never really looked in to how many team work points you get in space, though I'm pretty sure before the reset I had that pin. I usually try to work with the cap ships taking out bombers, and leading tie fighters in to their sights to pick them off behind me. If you have a good squad leader who updates the radius with the ships then you got a good chance.

I'm pretty sure a lot of people now are just joining squads to try to get TW points, a few times I notice people dont listen and refuse to swap kits for the benefit of the team.

Anyway, what was the original post about? Points? Stat ho's! lol! tongue
