Turbolasers should be useless. They are made to kill capital ships. They kill nothing in the movie. I'm annoyed when I see it making 20 kills.

They shot down atleast one of Lukes wing mates I thought in one of the movies...

Take them out with a X-Wing, they are sitting ducks. The few remaining AI-Only Turrets are not a great danger.

Re: Discussion: The Battle of Yavin, who needs a trench?

On the imps side, I always manage to kill lots of flying things with the turrets.
On the Rebel side, we usually descend on the turrets and pick them like grapes.

I use a trac-ball so turret aiming is gravy.

1 isn't 20. It was a lucky shot.

Destroying turbolasers isn't hard but TIE-fighters won't let you do it easily. TL shouldn't be accurate enough to disturb fighters efficiently. This is the weakness of the Death Star.

Re: Discussion: The Battle of Yavin, who needs a trench?

Turbo Lasers are only dangerous if people don't target them. Pop a pair of torps into one and it blows, leaving the local deflection towers or trench undefended.

Burner: Turbo lasers need to be "mannable" and effective, in part for balance reasons and in part because some people don't want to fly fighters.

A.k.a "those who suffer from space sickness" - the people who leave the server during space maps because they have problems to orientate in a 3D enviroment.

No, those who don't like spinning around in circles for long periods of time or being destoryed and having to fly all the way out there again or those who don't like being in the exact same kit/vehicle as everyone else.

If the guy want to take out the turrets being effective on Yavin then the rebels need to only have 10-20 ticks, in order to be more lore accurate wink
