Ah.. good ol memory error.. you need to update windows vista 64bit os,  also you can change some of your memory allocation in vista, so that you no longer get those errors.
I had the same problem, so if you google memory not sane error, you should be able to find all the links i did to help you with it.

Ah, true widescreen support for FS would be freak'n awesome, but I'm still a bit hazy as to whether it really works or not (it causes errors, works but not true widescreen, etc.). I guess it's all well and good for me now anyway, as I haven't been able to pick up a snazy new widescreen tv or monitor just yet. lol Expensive! sad

** To get Widescreen options in the Video options , add the line " +widescreen 1" to the end of your shortcut target box**
