LAAT/i? No way , if you wanna stick to the movie feel , and that's what i guess the devs would prefer!
Don't get me wrong , I love the thing , its marvelous to see it fly and (especially) land , but eh..
neither side used it , meaning used it as a frontline unit wink

There are lots of vehicles far better suited for the Gunship role than the LAAT. Even the Lambda can do some Close Air Support in a pinch as long as you keep those wings above ground level.

That Lambda has quite a few guns on it.  Fully manned it can do some heavy damage.

All arguments great here... but I see the Lambda as more of a C-5 Galaxy military transport (albeit with anti-air defenses) as an equivalent of today's military. What I'm looking for (and others) is the equivalent of a Blackhawk or Littlebird: small, optimized for transporting a small squad of troops AND giving them air support.

Something more along the lines of the AC130H/U gunships perhaps?  big_smile  Turboprop planes from a different era beefed up for today's warfare.
