Yea , actually you should help noobs , and be welcoming.
I know theres Tards mixed in there , but you cant portray this heir of superiority the way some people act, and not turn people off completely by personal behavior.

It says can not "Re-Cap" not can not "Cap" wink

With a point being nutral your capping it, not recaping it.

Also I thought the plot of that map was a set of rebels already on the planet trying to deactivate the turbolazers, not paratrooping in...  An emergency/crash landing of a transport ship or some such thing.

First person I met on a FS server was Twigs. He was very helpful. The way flags are taken can be confusing to new players used only to Vanilla 2142. I think on my first day If it hadn't have been Twigs I bumped into but someone who screamed at me, I doubt i'd be playing now

Re: Acting like a jerk

We'll sometimes you can go crazy when you got a newbie for squad leader and your telling him all the time over voip to get a respawn beacon up asap, and they dont do sh*t. Even after explaining how to do it.
And imo we have enough active players, shattered is full at most weekends, or nearly full with some players on rogue. I just think everyone got a busy life irl, work, girls , party's, etc. And if we where all online at the same time im sure all current active players could fill some servers

If you don't like the way your squad leaders playing vote with your feet, start a new squad, if he's that bad the others will follow. I really don't think we have enough active players and certainly wouldn't advise anyone griefing a new FS player. The more regular players the better I say smile

Re: Acting like a jerk

A lot of this is in discussion with the Devs, as to what balance we would like. The majority of Devs seem to agree that making the game too complicated or hard for newer members is just driving them away instead of building up the playerbase so that more complex maps will actually work.
I agree with the constituency that keepi9ng the maps playable and fun for noobs , is more important than useless complications for the sake of "lore correctness"
Starwars is all fantasy anyway, and if people are looking too hard at fine details, you are missing the boat ... ( or the noobs are )  and the population suffers.

I also know for a fact that a couple ego-hounds around here do more than their share of "repulsor" action ... the way they talk to people who have politely asked for help or instructions.
" Read the damn intro ... or read the damn wikki ..."  isnt going to pass for public relations people .
