I am where I am on the leaderboard simply because of the time I've spent playing, and I've spent so much time playing First Strike because I bloody well love it!

Stats are nothing more than a record of what a player has done in the game. I'm under no illusions about being the "best"; there are several players who kick my arse just about every time we encounter each other.

If FS was ranked by K/D ratio, W/L ratio or SPM, the leaderboard would be completely different. If you found a way to include the Squad Leader Success and Squad Order Bonus points, it'd look very different again.

Nobody ever accused you of anything.

It doesn't change the fact that stats do cause some players who put alot of stock in leaderboards to exploit in an attempt to reach the top...in any game that records stats.

True, but this is a comparatively insignificant exploit when compared with, say, the early version Titan guns/ammo box glitch in vanilla that saw some players getting 100s of ammo points in a round.

None of the top-ranked players in First Strike have actually got there by exploiting this glitch.

Definatly not true.  I've seen some of the "top-ranked" players doing this.  I always thought they were just messing about, shooting then repairing their droid.  I was not accusing you earlier, John, if that's how it looked.
