Aaaaaanyways, when Luke is done discussing my miniskirt, perhaps, as Ty says, we can go back on topic
?
Ty: It's really my third or so map, but it's my first map in the sense that it is the first time I've done more than crack open the editor, making a few hills, tripping over the unintuivite UI of the editor, and leaving in a state of utter confusion laced with frustration after two minutes of editing
.
The map started as me running through the tutorial over at the Bfeditor Wiki. I expected this to be just another mocking-about map where I went through the editor and got to know the basics, but it's grown on itself to the point where I'm actually considering making a map out of it. It features some few trees, a road cutting through it north-south, the Black Hawk wreck, the forest fire base above, a large canyon/valley with a plateau/overlook CP with a tank, and a gas station and a couple houses. It could conceivably be finished as a playable map at some point, right now I'm just playing around trying to fill it with details. I want some more hidden bunkers and I'm trying to figure out how to use under- and overgrowth to fill the map with trees and foliage.
Current state, trademark Safe-Keeper MSPaint style:

It's a tiny map, size 256 if I remember correctly, though it seems a bit big for it.
If you're still curious, I can e-mail what I have to you.
