Re: Naboo: Kaadara [WIP]

They'd probably fly right off the map in 2 seconds lol. Pity there are no choppers...

We need some sort of "ultralight gunship". Something with two positions, a pilot and gunner, and a blaster and maybe a couple of light bombs and maybe some special ability like an EMP gun or sensor or something, and the ability to hover over the battlefield giving air support. I guess there's nothing fitting that role in SW, so the devs'd have to make something up.

Not saying it'd be a good idea for this map, but it'd be nice to have in some future project.

Re: Naboo: Kaadara [WIP]

How about this for a background story:

The rebel alliance has a top meeting in the city of Kaadara. A imperial spy has gotten word of it and altered the imperial govenor of Naboo who immediatly send his forces to capture these figureheads. In his haste to get to them he was unable to close of all escaperoutes. The rebels need to escort their high ranking officers to the waterfront for them to escape. (Possibly to a Underwater Gungan city)

The Empire has Uncapable spawn points on the east and the west ( across the bridge) and needs to hold their CP's in the city to prevent the rebels from escaping.

The rebels need to free the CP's and escort a (vehicle or person, maybe a armored transport) to the bay for them to escape. If the imperials hold the last CP untill the end of the round, they lose or if the imperials are able to destroy/capture the vehicle.

I love the idea of a city with mostly troops dukeing it out.

Great idea.  I like Naboo as a setting and that building looks good.  What did you use to create the overhead layout?

Photoshop.

It's a decent idea, tho I believe Kaadara was controlled by the Empire. Not sure tho.

Re: Naboo: Kaadara [WIP]

Indeed it seems you are correct.

Kaadara was an oceanside city on Naboo. It was one of Naboo's smaller cities, a popular tourist destination during the height of the New Order. During the Galactic Civil War, Kaadara was garrisoned by Imperial forces, in an effort to crack down on rebellious activity on Naboo.

Guess we'll need a new story. We can always switch it around. The Imperials are under atttack and need to get their Moff to safety. The imperial landing bay is near the water. The rebels are attacking, because of the imperials are modifying Gungans into mindless war machines.

Allthough nobody would care maybe.

Found another tidbit. Maybe it would be good to incorporate something about the bounty hunters.

Re: Naboo: Kaadara [WIP]

I don't think Kaadara was particularly "Controled" by any faction as it was a hive of Bounty Hunters.

And yeah, I don't really remember any rivers going around Kaadara, it was more just beach side.  Very tiny tho, Starport and a layer of buildings to either side of it and 2-3 layers infront of it.

LA might not go over everything in Star Wars games with a fine tooth comb, but I bet you they do take a nice look at the layouts of the citys along with the art.

Like mentioned. This isnt being based on SWG. It is being based on other things ; gameplay for example.

Plus, you cannot tell me Lucas overlooked the SWG city/town layout development. That is quite absurd.

The only thing Lucas practically cares about when people make art, novels, games etc about SW is that there is no mature content and main characters aren't killed without his consent.
