just click on launch then it will update itself to the beta takes about 10 mins or so

D-loaded new one- its still asking for the 2142 disc that i don't have- I have Deluxe ed disc.

If you tried the old one first and had deluxe you need to delete FirstStrike.exe from your 2142 folder before trying again.

Also, when you start it up if it seems to crash right away and you used to play in widescreen put +widescreen 1 in the arguments within the preferences panel.

There appears to  be a problem with the latest patch. i think it was 903. A lot of files were corrupt when installing and the game ctd just before you get to the deploy button

Since i installed the beta update it keep crashing when i deploy to the map. It even does the same when i play the normal version now (do i have to uninstall the old version in order to play the beta one?).
Please help, ive not played fs for about 3 days, im getting withdrawel symptoms.
