Re: Use that Combat Speeder!

I don't like the ME Speeder in surprise confrontations because I never know what way my gun is facing

I know the problem, but how hard is it to figure out which way the gun is facing before you go in wink ?

This happens often because I wait for people to man the gun, then they immediately bail

Remedying this was kinda the whole point of the OP tongue . And it doesn't matter if it takes a second to aim, 'cause once your crosshairs are on target, the target dies. It's not a one-hit-one-kill, but it's pretty darned close.

But its a lot easier to follow a target than to follow and compensate for movement on a target, thus an infantryman usually has the advantage vrs an MESpeeder in a surprise meeting, at least I always do.

Bailing is my remedy because people are incompetent. big_smile

I'll allow you to endlessly pursue the 'perfect game' though SK.  wink

Re: Use that Combat Speeder!

Thats why I usually drive with clan mates, or at least people on vent/communitcating on VoIP.  For clan mates, I know they are pointing ahead, or close enough, and I know my gunner is competent.  I think our favorite is getting a speeder on Espa and driving loops around an AT-ST continusly getting it in the vents while it constantly tries to turn to face us instead of finding cover to stand against so we can't get behind it.

However, the average pubber, they will get in the gun, move it around then bail, leaving the driver with no idea what direction the gun is facing.  As TY says, in a suprise meeting an infantry man wins.

i really need to get in a clan. Finding players who can stick to a plan is hard.

It appears Gurd got disconnected before he could finish. He meant to say, RSF is the one to avoid, try Rogue Tribe (www.roguetribe.com). Well, if your over 18 that is, we only take mature players so we're not full of kids like some clans wink

But seeing most people aren't as 1337 as you... tongue

In surprise encounters I sometimes just flee the scene if I don't have an initial advantage. It's a fast machine.

(But yes, you do die a lot tongue )
