Alright I'm going to say it:
I enjoyed Battlefield: Bad Company. I mean, sure, it wasn't up to par with the original 1942 just like BF2 wasn't, but it was a nice change. Look at it this way, they could've just released another slight modification on their BF2 engine, called it Battlefield 2242, and had nanosuits and space combat in it.
The only problem I see, is that the Frostbite Engine doesn't seem like a very 'Multiplayer' tuned engine. From what I've seen so far from 1943 and BC, the player limit is hit at 24. If they could increase this to 64+, then I could easily see it becoming a great PC game.
To be honest I could see the Frostbite engine being used for a more 'Singleplayer' type experience, though. It's already been mentioned into infinity, I think, that Black 2 could really benefit from the engine (ignoring for a second that the original Black was mediocre at best).
However, if I have to see Wake Island one more hamsters damned time...
