Got all installed and updated but now punkbuster is kicking me!!

Cant remember what to do with this, I had it before.

manually update punkbuster, or join a vanilla 2142 server

Ok, got it all up ad running updated, pb seems fine etc.   now when I join a game it is fine and then when I go to join the next round i get a CTD. :s

Right mate, I'm not to sure if this is related or not, but I had a problem with CTD's on vanilla Titan maps  a while back. It's worth a shot.


Download and install the program located on THIS.   Once its installed, navigate to your BF2142 folder and right click on "FirstStrike.exe". (I'd also recomend making a backup of firststrike.exe before continuing) Click "Open in CFF Explorer", and get to the menu in the following picture:

NT headers -> File Header -> Characteristics

Check the App Can handle >2GB adress space box, hit okay.  Save the file, try to play FS.

As I said, this was something I used to let me play more than 1 round of Titan maps in vanilla, as I used to crash on new map/round with those. It may not be the same problem causing your errors, I'm afraid.
