Re: Tie fighters and tie bombers.

Space? No. Really hot if your getting direct rays from the sun, and extremely cold if your not... at least, thats what I heard...

err are you reffering to Fahrenheit or Celcius?

Re: Tie fighters and tie bombers.

from my point of view, celcius, yes the closer to the sun the warmer it gets, the further, how colder it becomes smile

Re: Tie fighters and tie bombers.

Listen, it would probably be hard for X-Wings and mechanical equipment to function in Hoth's cold atmosphere, all things being equal.  But this is sci-fi, and anyone can take liberties for gameplay purposes.  I mean, if you wanted to do things properly, TIE Fighters couldn't land at all without hanger facilities with hanging racks, so they couldn't be used for ground maps as they're too fragile to land on the ground without breaking or being damaged.

All things are not equal, it's a PC game, and some things don't need to be followed strictly.

Re: Tie fighters and tie bombers.

good one big_smile and yes TIEs cannot land on surface, cause their wings cannot take the pressure smile

Re: Tie fighters and tie bombers.

If the xwings can work mechanically in space flight with extreme temperatures in both directions I can't see why it couldn't work on hoth which is way hotter then cold space.

Heat is something going inside matter, unless it's from direct sunlight or etc ie rays of energy. so in a shadowy place in cosmos where there's not much matter it would be darn cold, and near a sun with unshielded from the rays and stuff it'd be hot enought to melt the ship, I'd guess. of course there's shields and stuff in SW though wink
