You would probably prefer to just see a couple of stormtroopers running around on belgrade map, shooting out static red lines again...

As to the shoot'em'up thing, you might be right - cod multiplayer kinda sucks, but Tatooine and fastpaced action sounds like a good combo to me. (I remember Mos Entha being VERY fast.)

Been a while since i played a decent "any old Star Wars shootemup", too

Looks like it will be pretty fun. The players seemed to die a lot faster than normal COD, so I assume they have some sort of realism setting enabled, or coded into their mod [hoping]

Have you played CoD HC mode? Thats one or two hits = kill.

DUKE815: Teamwork's complicated. I've found that ramming a Lambda with a Y-wing at full boost is most effective.

Anyone tried it?
A new version with some new maps and weapons has just been released.
The VID (Very Import Droid) game mode where you have to escort the droid to different control points (a bit like the car in Team Fortress 2 I think) sounds like fun too.
