If the installer was corrupt at all, it's very VERY unlikely you'd only crash on a certain map.  It's more likely that you crash on everymap or crash as you're launching the game.  Or it just won't even install at all - the Installer Integrity check has a purpose smile.

DUKE815: Teamwork's complicated.  I've found that ramming a Lambda with a Y-wing at full boost is most effective.

I remember having problems with a patch for a different game. The folder I stored the patch in had too many characters in the filepath (something like C:/documents&settings/my documents/downloads/patches/etc/etc/etc).

Try running the patch and the bf2142 patches from the root of the C: drive for example to keep the filepath length shorter. I dont know if the FS patch would suffer from that problem but it might be worth a shot
