I bought 1942 to try out GC but never got round to trying it after I found out it was more or less dead.

that were the maps back then... you see that picture in the second row on the right? THAT map was in the pack. But now, as i see this old newspost again I start to remember, that the devs decided NOT to take this map into the clients map-pool. All the other maps were taken in (anchorhead, Dantooine...)

Anyways, I found someone, who worked on some maps and an inofficial patch. I contacted him and am awaiting his response. His name is Django, maybe some of you remember him.
Additional, it would be nice, if Woodrow could find his way in here. He was one of the mappers back then, if I remember right.

I'm afraid all that I had for GC was lost about 8 hard drives ago.  I destroy them with frightening regularity.  Not to mention the only map I ever made was GC_ExtremePrejudice, which was never completed (no lightmaps nor enough multiplayer balancing).  My work in that mod, meager though it was, is in the vehicles.  You probably have me to blame for all the ones that you hate wink  Or at least the firehawke, speeders, AT-ATs, and a couple others.

But I'll def keep an eye on this thread also.  Would love to see one more 32man GC game before I die.  That would be a real treat.

In the meantime i found a mappack for GCX, containing the map. It's called Alaria Prime. http://www.filefront.com/10688458/gcx-mappack.zip

As far as I know, Django continued the work on your map http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N9zXqKb6oVY

My last contact was almost a year ago, but as I said allready, I contacted him a few hours ago. Maybe i can get him to finish this map or release some unseen ones.
