I created sp/coop support for all the GC/GCX maps that were worthwhile.   I created a number of mappacks that I had uploaded to filefront, but all those went away after the filefront changed last year.   I can search my backup harddrives and upload them if there is interest.

It would be great!
I remember your work from back then and we even discussed to let GCX run the Server, if playernumbers are low. But it needs a lot of fixes.
So, for the beginning it would be really nice, if you could upload that maps.
Meanwhile, Django joined us and we're making progress, so we think about setting up a date in approximately 3 weeks and up!

You should certainly post back when you are almost ready to go with more details. Links to any required patches/files may also be of use to those of us that never played 1942 and GC.

The only official map pack that I know of was with the 'mini' maps that were later added to the mod. 

I don't have any of the map packs that I put together anymore, but I still have the maps.    Actually, I have just about every map that was ever created for GC/GCX.   A lot are not worth checking out, but there are a few that are worthwhile.

These are some of the better ones:
circarpous_iv_raid, Wor_Tandel, Endor, endoria, beyond earth, two moons, alaris prime, beltraid, endoth, extreme prejudice, plains sakiya, tibanna, planet bizarria, research station, tibanna, and you probably allready have Extreme Prejudice.

Just let me know which ones your interested in and I will post them.   If there are any others, just ask and I can look.

Yeah, indeed, let us know when this is on and I'll dust off my old copy of BF1942, I'm quite intrigued to see what GC got up to in the end, as I've said before the last time I played it was when it was just the most basic of starting points for Hoth right at the beginning, so yeah, would be good to see the more finished product.

Dnamro, I'm very thankfull for your efforts. I'll download all of them and we will have a look thru them, if we can use them for our second date.

We had a little Teamspeak meeting yesterday, having a look on the GC-Maps of Version 5.3 and discussed some ideas about some improvements, serverside moddings and bugfixes.
Even Django appeared and it were nice 3 hours of getting background infos of all the GC secrets and some other developers of this mod, too tongue

We decided, to increase the vehicle spawns on some of the bigger maps reducing waiting times and walk ways. There was allways this problem, that 3 or 4 players took a vehicle and just went away with them, not waitng for passengers. But don't fear, that we'll imbalance the maps, we have a strictly eye on the balance.

So, for today we're working on a news post for spreading the word over to other Battlefield Communities to reach as many players as possible. Further, Django is taking a look at some hitboxes, that need fixing. We discovered some invisible walls around the Mon Calamari Sea-Domes.

So... as I said, we're making progress and let you know about the event soon.
