It might just say BF2142 exe rather than BF2142launcher, some of the versions have both files, but some just have the one. My original standard version of BF2142 just had the exe file and no launcher file too.

just a short question about the server. Are you running a ranked or an unranked server? I'm asking because we weren't able to find a public link to the unranked serverfiles so far. In the past those files were published together with the patch but this time everything seems to be a bit strange...

It is an unranked server via a provider so I have not had to source the BF2142 server files myself.

Does the 1.51 patch not just apply to ranked and unranked servers, rather than needing a seperate patch to both types? I must admit, it's not something I've looked in to too far.

Any puclibly viewable links for serverfiles are unranked.  Ranked status can only be given if the server provider is licensed by DICE/EA.  The licence is very expensive(and only given to "trusted" providers, I believe), so only the hosting companies tend to have ranked status. 

Swapping a ranked server to unranked is actually as simple as setting a variable from 1 to 0 in the settings, for anyone who happens to run a ranked server and wants to try FS.
