It looks promising, with some cool battle scenes and the infiltration looking story line, not much too in the trailer, but more is coming. Also is that a Grand Admiral I spy. smile

Looks good visually. That shot with the Star Destroyers is PERFECT.

Will probably be good. I don't know that the story had to be told and I am hoping they don't sap all the fun out of Star Wars with the obvious darker tone they are going for.

I still wish the first appearance of AT-ATs(even though these are earlier models) was saved for ESB.

Jyn Erso is a main character. Youngish female rebelish character with a bit of a dark history, infilrating the empire to steal information. Beardy youngish guy  seems to be one her chums.  Looks a wee bit Jan Ors / Kyle Katarnish inspired, which would be good, even her name is similar.    Grand Admiral manny looks pretty cool, I'm wondering what will be requiring him to walk through dirt in full dress though. Not something I'd be doing in a sparking white uniform with a massive cape on.


Looks interesting, some of those shots looked really good, that death star scene. . .  What I didn't like is yet another sci fi that has "epic asian melee ninja guy". Come on. That's what Jedi (and TR-8R) are for, we don't need this BS



Lots of bigger names than usual for a SW film, with seemingly fairly significant roles. Hopefully that doesn't detract from it.

DUKE815: Teamwork's complicated.  I've found that ramming a Lambda with a Y-wing at full boost is most effective.

So trailer 2 just released. I just want to express my previous disappointment and disney no-ing the film a few months back because it was "too dark" and meaning they had to go back and re do quite a lot of it. This trailer looks like it's still going to be pretty gritty though, so maybe it WAS a bit too much, at least for SWs first real attempt at being a bit rougher on the big screen.
