Topic: Contacting to EA Master server?

So, I had been playing from the revive launcher- using the mod from the battleco. but all the weapons and such were locked- and my stats wouldn't be counted. After some digging around- I figured out you need to use the FS launcher- damn huh?

Here is where the problem starts- I installed the newest launcher and opened it- but it then told me, "Contacting to EA masterserver."

Anyone know a solution to this...or am I just stupid and missed something.

Actually, I am testing updated client and server versions.  When EA pulled support from the game a few years back, it killed the game.  When the Revive team brought back BF2142, it allowed FS to be played again.  Unfortunately, that created some new problems trying to keep players and the server in synch.   The revive launcher needs to be used to launch since it makes sure that you are connected to their master account server, but the updater is used to install the latest First Strike patches.    If you have problems with that you may need to reinstall BF2142.  You can uninstall and reinstall from the Revive launcher.    Then make sure you can play BF2142.

      Ah- thank you, that worked perfectly. I honestly love the mod so sure, I wouldn't mind getting a shot to test out the new version.   Nice response time too!
