Re: Idea for the Endor ground and space maps
In my mod, that I broke off of (partly to join this and partly because everyone left me), we had started a map of Theed, Naboo that blent space and ground together pretty well. We had a big box which was space, with an interior star texture, and the entry point had no collision mesh, allowing for the illusion of space and ground being seperate games, yet happening at the same time. It was pretty cool and probably would've played well had we continued. I still plan to finish the map, as it was also aiming to make a replica of Theed, so I can show it when I'm done. Just something to think about. Only real problem may be lag, although anything past the 10-poly space box wouldn't need to load.

I think the unreal 3 engine can do that. Best engine ever made.

u can always make the map and maybe when the devs love it, they can add as an official one starwarsfan11 wrote:Lord Vader wrote:That's a very good idea. In fact I was thinking of the same thing. Yes, it can already load a part of the other level, when u are still busy with one map, so u don't have to wait for another loading

Well, of course I could, but I'd be hanged if found out, as it's not concentrating on my silly texturing work.

Re: Idea for the Endor ground and space maps
That would explain why I haven't been able to get my hands on it, I guess I will have to look into it. I'm sure he's completely dedicated to doing his assigned FS work, right?
