IRC is the devil, but I might come on there one day, spread lies, seed contempt, and.... I mean and be a good person because IRC is not the devil but a very nice thing that only breeds kindness and love. (yep, that's what I meant, ignore the real- I mean the first part)

I'm confused about the screen shot. I like IRC, it's just that they need to find someway to make it more 'user friendly' like dare I say.... AIM. Perhaps make it incorperated as part of a chat client? I think people shy away from using IRC because you have to connect to different network, and depending upon the network, you have to connect to a channel using some type of text command, and then there's no audio warning that someone's talking (at least not for me). Anyway, that's my specuation why people don't use IRC.

/warning, shameless plug follows

Well, you know, in the newest version of Opera IRC is built in, so all I have to do to join the IRC is click on the "FS IRC CHANNEL" and IRC pops up in a new tab. Also the tab goes blue when someone says something and you don't have the tab open. Quite user friendly, no?

Oh wow, that's neat. I don't use Opera so I don't know. I use the FireFox plugin which is alright.
