Topic: Vehicle spawn autokill

we all know the senario: people always want to get a plane, but its busy.
so they wait till it spawn.
sometimes taking up more then 50% of al your team players.
in BF2  you have a carrier for planes.
is it possible to make a code that would kill anyone that stays on it longer then 15 to be killed?

now i dont know how the FS maps will look like and if there will even be maps where you have ground fighing and airfighting balanced (cant be a mod without these maps, but you never know).

im just wondering is this kind of code is even possible.
like the base kill code the GC devs had.
that would be a great code for the mod to

Well, with the new boarding features 2142 brings to teh table, I definetly forsee some long and intense fire fights in hangar bays and other parts of a base or capital ship. So it would kinda suck if the entire defensive team up and die after fighting to hold the base for 15 minutes. But the problem you present is certiantly valid of thought. But I have nothing to contribute lol .

Well, in Space maps, I would NOT like to see such a thing.  The fact that there aren't enough spaces for people in ships would force them to use capital ships more diligently (since they can't get off the ship, they just have to fight with it/ on it).

On ground maps with spacecraft and vehicles and the like, there really is no reason, in my opinion, to do anything about campers.  They are mainly hurting themselves by lacking fun to get out there and play, rather than camp.

well atleast the killing force field around a main base like in vanguard.
something to keep people from verhicle spawn raping you as a someone with no other skill then flying (no offence, pilots rule tongue), just standing there waiting for someone in a fighter/bomber to die.
(just to have him spawn, take the fighter again and you jump infont of the plane)

something to end things that happen in to many map. like oman, dragon 64 and other maps with jets in them.
cause as this may be a mod, this problem isnt just for bf2 itself, but every game with a standard spawnpoint for people and verhicles.
with only a limited number of verhicles.

im sure most of you guys dont like it when your beeing baseraped again.
(even if it was only because your team where all waiting for a verhicle and not capturing flags.)
