I dislike Empire at War's non-cannon FoC faction intensly.

A pirate faction that has the military might to take on the Empire? I don't think so.

That faction is chock full of ridiculous made up ships that serve the same purpose as many other already established cannon ships. They also have blackmarket technology that rivals (And sometimes even surpasses) top of the line Imperial technology.

While at first I thought this, I recalled something I read about TIE Defenders, the Empire only built like 20 of them because they couldn't afford them(The Republic was almost broke in Episode 1). The FoS new civilization could certainly afford them if it's the (almost) entire galactical crime syndicates, certainly they could afford better technology and be able to afford (not better) plenty of solders. The Hutts bought a great deal of star destroyers. However my problem is this, the ship that they show at the end the trailer is, according to the expanded universe, as a ship that Palpatine builds AFTER Luke Skywalker kills him. Palpatine is "reborn" into a clone of himself and turns Luke Skywalker. Luke Skywalaker kills Palpatine again and destroys the ship(it goes on longer but i'm here for the ship). The ship has a super laser weapon more powerful than the death star that is, also, made for combat with smaller ships, such as star destroyers. I seriously doubt that he "acquired" this before the event ever took place.
