Topic: Dialogue

I don't know if this has currently been mentioned, but what about the voices in the game? Is it possible to change what people say when you bring up the Commarose?

If you can here's my two cents on the subject.

For rebels, and American accent would be fitting due to most rebels in the movies had an American accent.

And for Imps, a british accent woud fit due to most of the imps being british. Unless of course they are some kind of masked trooper, then they'd have that communication "click" when saying things.

I'd also reccomend using all original voices, not trying to salvage audio from the movies.

Additionally, you'd have to change most of the dialogue when spotting something or calling out for help, etc. I haven't played 2142, so I dont know if the Commarose is the same as in BF2, but im sure you guys could figure some cool stuff out.

Hey welcome to the Forums! The Devs are doing a smash up job on the audio (I assume). They already have quite a number of designated voice actors, and even a Lord of Sonic Warfare. Thats gotta count for something.

LOL, I like the way you have no idea what is happening but you still have the upmost faith in us tongue.

Anyway he is correct that we do have several voice actors lined up, if you all ask nicely Ulph may stick some of his work in the next update.

I hear ye! I'll see what we can do about it but I prefer showing sounds in a context, and that would better be videos. So be patient, you'll HEAR from me/us eventually!

Both yes and no. In BF2 this was only possible with alot of workarounds since the voice system was hardcoded and in the process, some functionality was lost. We do not yet know what we can do with the bf2142 voice system but it's most likely working the same.

So, yes, there will be different voices for each class requiring one of their own.
