Topic: 'Boarding a cargo freighter' level

I'd like to see a level where the Imperials start out in an ISD docking bay and have to pilot those Imperial stormtrooper transports over to a neutral freighter to inspect it as the premise.

Of course, the freighter is full of Rebels and an awesome battle ensues.  There is the possability of many set pieces within the freighter.  The cargo holds can be filled with many volatile containers of ammunition, catwalks, there can be thin, crowded hallways, a bridge, etc.  Hell, throw in a trash compactor compartment as the only route between two crucial points, and give it two animated walls that close at regular intervals and eventually kill players.

How will the Imperials respawn? If there were that many people on it to take out that many storm troopers wouldn't they just blow it away with the star destroyer? It's a good idea though, that would be a fun map I think

I was thinking for the map briefing that the Imperials are just going to inspect it, but discover the Rebels onboard and battle ensues.  You figure the Imps would want to kill the Rebels and sieze the contraband, perhaps.

As far as stormtroopers spawning you can give the Stormtrooper transports spawn points, so that once they dock or board the freighter the Imperials can spawn on them and fight their way inside through choke points like airlocks and blocked areas.

But doesn't that mean that ten rebels can fend off forty storm troopers? Maybe the contraband can be an important part for the second death star.

You have to draw the lne between canon and believability at a certain point to make a map playable and enjoyable.  In SW reality, yeah, the Imperials would just send wave after wave and destroy all the Rebels hiding inside, but in reality you don't reapwan either.

Very good idea, would enjoy playing it a lot. Maybe once the battle has gone on for a certain amount of time a small Rebel task force can arrive and a space battle can begin (nothing big, maybe a nebulon frigate and some fighters).
