Re: 'Boarding a cargo freighter' level

But according to what has been previously seen, the Empire wouldn't flinch at the thought of destroying their own soldiers at the cost of even more rebels. Especially when it meant either destroying four hundred troopers and five hundred rebels as opposed to sending in another five hundred troops to die after the first one hundred. It's absolutely uneconomical.

Re: 'Boarding a cargo freighter' level

If a Rebel Officer with much needed intel was aboard that freighter, do you honestly beleive a competent Imperial Officer would have it destroyed? No. The ISB would be all over that officer like a fat chick on pie.

Re: 'Boarding a cargo freighter' level

I always wondered how a tiny correlian corvette could possibly hold the number of troops needed to assualt a ISD, especially seeing as the situation painted makes it more likely it was the corrleian ship being boarded instead of the ISD. Was a GREAT map regardless however...

There were conscious commanders in the imperial navy so you can say that he cared for his troops, I forget his name, but he was in Star Wars Rebellion (Supremacy for Europe).

Re: 'Boarding a cargo freighter' level

If you have played SWBF 2, then you'll know that yes, they did care for their fellow troops, however, no one dared oppose their superior officer's commands. Most star destroyers were commanded by admirals and most could care lees about their troops as their troops are basically lifeless robots to be expended on the battlefield. This scenario only makes a good map if the star destroyers gravity wells are sabotaged or out of commision, and they were in pursuit of the freighter in which case, depending on whether or not there was a real rebel ship capable of deploying starships. Otherwise this map is a senseless and utterly unlikely event.

Re: 'Boarding a cargo freighter' level

I like the uprising enslaved wookiees idea. If they were shipping VERY important cargo , maybe something personal to the emporor (like face cream or something tongue ) , then they wouldnt just destroy the ship with the SD.
