The problem with the wookies picking up kit is that if i'm not mistaken first strike is making it so that wookies can't change kits. I'm probably wrong, but I think that is what they were saying.

We are makin it so any1 can change/pickup kits. The only difference is that you only pickup the weapons . You dont turn into the class from which you stole the weapons from.

eg. a wookiee thumps a stormy , he then picks up the stormies kit bag and you see a wookiee running around with an e11. smile

Perfect. You could also add an stormtrooper armoury somewhere, have pickup-able weapons on the walls.
