As I said in the ABC thread, Hoth had a really annoying tendency to break down because it was all too easy to just pick up a TIE Fighter, fly into the Alliance hangar, and capture their rear base. Why? Because on a public server, you're practically never going to find someone willing to spend the round on sentry duty in the main base, just sitting there waiting for the occasional stormie to come in. And I can't blame them.
Besides there are occasions like say the imps take a flag where there is already some rebel craft, the imp craft won't appear with the rebel craft already at the vehicle spawn point.
Then have the Imperial craft spawn at a different spot than the rebel craft, if possible. Either way, there's nothing a good DetPack can't handle when there's some Rebel material to destroy .
