Topic: Asteriods battle

Based on the last post I'd like to see if this map would work.
A small rebel squadron is ambushed by 2 rebel stardestoryers during the flight in the middle of some asteriods.
Could we do a map where the space fighting could take place between the 2 armadas.
And each could be defeated by destroying a few weakpoints on each ships in order to take them out.
You could also force pilots to navigate there way through this asteriod field in order to get to there objectives. This would make it pretty fun and amuzing even for the begineer pilots.
Maybe even guns on the ships so it can dfend itself. As well as posibly bombers and B-wings etc. to help take out the weaker points quicker.
Just a suggestion but might work nicely.
Plus if the asteriods could be made to move even at a moderate pace it would be very cool.
You could even have a hollow asteriods for the more experience piltos to navigate through to shack off enemy fighters big_smile

nope this map isnt going to work tongue

i cant imagine spacemaps without asteriods, but one with only doesnt sound right.
no normal commander of a fighter carrier would go into a asteroidfield

I would much rather see an asteroid base, like a mining facilty...

Then there could be some asreoids floating around it and it works much better.

hmn, asteriod mining colonies, you could ahve seperate abses accessable by ships?
Might be quite fun
Another one you could do, is when the mellenium Falcon attepts to jump to lightspeed... you could ahve a map where you aim is to stop the ship before it gets out the other side of the asteriod system and the map ends

Space maps work much better when theres a central thing to fight around.
