We have been toying with the idea of not allowing a nose-cam, and I hope that we keep the cockpit view locked. The emersion factor alone is worth it as I'm trying to make the nicest looking cockpits I can. smile

Also , you can look around the cockpit. I believe there is a button for a cockpit free-look. Look in the controls under 'air' to find it. I'm quite sure there is one. smile

My "not possible" comment refered to the targeting computer idea of Jerk's, not of the "look around in your cockpit" idea. Just for the record tongue .

It could work like the HUDs on BF2 aircraft except that it vanishes when you change the camera.

Well since I use a joystick when I'm flying I can't really use "mouse look" since I would have to let go of my joystick and then reach over to my mouse to look around. Any tips on that?

Can't you have one of the hat switches on your joystick be set to look around the cockpit? Or is it possible to map it to keyboard keys?

I'm pretty sure it has to be on the mouse, or I'm pretty sure I would've tried that... at least I hope I would have.
