sure it's bad and doesn't quite look right.  It's also 7 cm tall tongue .  Is it good for a beginner? or for a gun modelled in 15 minutes? smile

This gun looks strikingly like a gun from goldeneye 007 for the n64 tongue

Looks really good for starting out. And in 15 minutes. tongue

You should try Lightwave if you're just starting out. It's a very easy program to pickup and learn. It's got a lot of flexibility as well. After a couple weeks of using Lightwave I was confident enough to make what I call a "McTemple". tongue

If you want to make stuff for fun, I heard that Sketchup is ok, if you don't plan on using the model for anything. tongue

what's the best program for modelling for mods?  Does lightwave work with 2142?

Re: fuzz modelled a gun, he feels proud :)

best would probably be 3dsmax.
or any other program that can export to max without problems.

Fuzz I recommend Softimage's XSI . Whilst 3dsmax is more common , XSI is far more flexible and user friendly. Also, more and more companies are turning to XSI (HL2).

You can get a free version from softimages site ....its called XSImodtool (free forever) or you can get 30 day trials of the retail versions.
