First of all I really like the design, second of all it's made by LucasArts, and third of all I'm frankly a bit tired of new ships that vaguely resemble a Star Destroyer for some reason. Let the Star Destroyers, Victory Class Star Destroyers and Interdictors have the wedge shape and come up with something new for the other ships. Just my opinion.

Oh, and the Interdictor can't carry anything on board. The hangar bay can't fit as much as a single TIE Tighter. In fact, the only dedicated carrier in all of Star Wars seems to be the Escort Carrier. Every single other ship seems to have at least one other role, which most often seems to be to blow stuff up.

There was a good mission in Tie Fighter, the one that introduced the carrier. I believe it went something like this:

The carrier was full of unarmed prototype TIE Advanceds (aka TIE Avengers). Your squadron of TIE/Is had to escort them, pair by pair, to somewhere (I think it was a hyperpoint, but it might have been a frigate.) But obvoously the Rebels were trying to stop you.

reguardless of looks, i like the gameplay idea possibilities behind it.

I know that FS is not going to use the Titan mod but if both the rebels and the imps gets escort carriers, it will be possible to use the Titan mod for it.

Sigh. Anyway, the Rebel's don't have a carrier (unless you count that quasar fire thing, but that's not very canon. Also, Titan mode would work better with cruiser/SDs if it were implemented.

Titan mode would work best with small ships like Corvettes. A Modified Corvette versus a Modified Corvette, for example. Would fit better with size and boarding action.

I don't think FS will feature Titan Mode too early anyway. Doesn't really fit with the rest of the universe, I feel.

As for the Quasar, no, it's not too canon, but neither is the Escort Carrier. And both are pretty cool ships.
