Topic: Rolling

Well, a thought came to me, that even though SWBF2 sucked in pretty much all aspects, it had one option I liked......rolling. It was awesome when someone popped up in front of you and you could roll to the right and dodge him.

I was wondering if that could be included for the game, because its the only thing that would make sense if you were diving for cover. I don't think that someone would just jump through the air with the greatest of ease, making a perfect target of himself unless he had another choice.

I know the 2142 engine might hinder it in some way, but it would be nice if it could be included.

Re: Rolling

I always liked the rolling effect in the BHD/JO games and miss it with the BF Engine.
I'm sure you could add a rolling animation, but prob a lot of work unfortunately.

Re: Rolling

im no coder so i could get this all wrong. but something as rolling would have to be hard coded into the bf engine for it to even be possible.
so i would say this is something that isnt possible

Re: Rolling

Isn't soem rolling animation already present after dolphin diving? Maybe that could be assigned to a key..

Re: Rolling

AFAIK it can be done, the problem is the key assignment I think

Re: Rolling

It doesn't need to be done.

Press the roll key and you roll. And it would be kinda lame if you are trying to shoot someone down in your TIE and they just keep rolling in different directions. Its really unneccesary. Besides the point it just isn't possible in a normal way.

Bad idea imo.
