Perhaps one of the ships could release anti-air mines, like the Lambda shuttle or something? I remember the Lambda had "floating repulsor mines" like that in one Jedi Academy multiplayer map.

I hope they don't make rebel fighters accessible to imps on the Death Star.  But as I understand it from what you're saying, these trip mines are effective against vehicles?  If the sniper/scout carries them, I would assume that they would only be effective against infantry.  That would be interesting for fighter pilots tho.  I wonder if the code would allow the mines to be activated with statics, i.e. moving the mine into a static via vehicle

why not?

if an imperial enters a rebel vehicle, maybe in the game it is possible, it is much difficult for an imperial one to fly this rebel vehicle as for the rebel

cause the rebel has the knowledge by training, execising, and the imperial not

Re: Snipers: A Pilot's Worst Enemy?

well for one it would be highly unrealistic in the Star Wars sense.  The rebels didn't spawn on the Death Star surface, they flew in their respective ships from Yavin IV.  The imps wouldn't have had a chance to steal their ships or plant laser mines on them.

To Gen. Un-Co:  I didn't think that it would be possible, but it would be nice to have better anti-grav stability on the bikes

Re: Snipers: A Pilot's Worst Enemy?

Yeah, but theoretically an Imp could fly a TIE fighter down to the surface and plant mines/explosives/steal an X- or Y-Wing.

Re: Snipers: A Pilot's Worst Enemy?

an Imp could fly down to the surface of what?  Yavin IV?  it took the rebels a long time to get to the DS from there, and the Imps thought that they were gonna destroy the place anyway.  Not even an idiotic stormtrooper would want to venture out in front of the DS's super laser.  And as for where the rebels spawn, I hope they do it like GC, where the rebels spawn just above the flight ceiling for all of the fighters.  That way there wouldn't be any ways for the Imps to reach the rebel fighters while they are sitting ready to go.  Since I don't think there is a way to let the rebels spawn inside their ships, maybe the X-Wings and Y-Wings could sit on an invisible surface high above the DS.  I think that would simulate them flying to the DS from Yavin IV better.

Re: Snipers: A Pilot's Worst Enemy?

Yeah, that'd be good, but whatever they spawn from would have to be invincible, otherwise TIEs would come up from below and shoot until it was destroyed.
