Well the multiplayer of World in Conflict is the key component of the game i think. You can only control one particular type of class, which are Infantry, Armor, Support and Air. They use a command points system similar to BFME, which you spend on your specific class. However you may also spend some of your points on other classes, but to a slightly higher expense.
Servers seem to be setup for 8 v 8, so generally you get 2 of each class on each map, which is awesome cos it generally forces teamplay if you want to be successful, as you have to capture outposts.
Theres also a medals and honors system, so you can see how well an opponent has played over his career, not too different from Battlefields.
