Topic: First Strike article on Wookiepedia nominated for deletion

This just in - the First Strike article on the Wookiepedia has been nominated for deletion on the grounds of notability failure sad .

As it's an important article, and as I just invested some effort into making it look good, I ask everyone to move in there and vote 'Keep', adding good reasons for doing so. To do so, first register and log in, then go here and edit either 'Delete' or 'Keep' - sans apostrophes: '#--~~~~'. This will add your vote, along with your user name, to the list of votes.

Of course, if you think it should be deleted, you should vote delete. I can't stop you other than by looking at you with deer eyes.

Ridiculous... There are far lamer things on there than FS. Why would anyone have a problem with FS's wiki.

Jeez, some PEOPLE these days.

Re: First Strike article on Wookiepedia nominated for deletion

Am I dreaming, or is the FS article being overwhelmed by 'Delete' votes while... this is deemed notable yikes ? And this?! I almost get the feeling they've taken the notability system of Wikipedia and turned it upside down. Not to mention that their system is entirely unwritten (with statements like 'if you do a search through old discussions, you'll find we actually do have notability rules'), and seems to be largely built around precedence ('this deserves deletion, but there are lots of other articles equally useless that are not deleted, so let this stay' - don't ask me why they bother with First Strike, then, but that's me). Again, one exceptionally strange Wiki roll .

Anyways, I've copied the article to Notepad and will look into Wikipedia's notability requirements (yes, Wookiepedia, it's possible to have actual agreed-upon notability guidelines in writing) to see if I can move it there, minus the infobox and images, of course, unless you allow me to upload screenshots to Wikipedia under a free license or to the Public Domain. We'll see.
