Re: Two Man Blaster Turrets?

It is good to have multicrewed vehicles/objects in SOME cases. However if its something as simple as a turret, and it is as drastic as turning/fireing the thing, it will do nothing but destroy gameplay.

Re: Two Man Blaster Turrets?

yeah, only when it is implemented the testers can see how it works smile

Re: Two Man Blaster Turrets?

You don't need to be a tester to know how it will work. For a single turret to be operational you will need to pull another guy out of the field. Not only that, it dosn't even make sence. Why the hell would someone ever make a turret need to be seperatly turned and shot by 2 different people? Think of modern day tank turrets. The gunner both shoots the main cannon, coaxial machinegun, turns the turret, and uses a variety of other onboard systems on his own.

And in Battlefield 2, when you're driving a tank, not only are you the driver, you're also the gunner! In real life, the driver doesn't control the turret. But it would kill gameplay if there had to be a separate driver and gunner, because it's easily done by just one person.

Re: Two Man Blaster Turrets?

It would be a different case, if the turret would contain two seperately aimed weapons. Though one of the operators would have to be the one controlling the turning of the platform, and I don´t know if that would be any fun, might be too hard to aim for the non controlling operator. It could be compensated, in some way though.. Like making the second weapon a more powerful one. 1st one full automatic and lighter, the second semi and very powerfull BLASTER! Then it would be fun. I don´t know if there is anything alike in Star Wars.. Just entertaining myself with the flowing ideas.

No he doesn't.

In a real life M1A2 Abrams tank there are four crew positions, as follows:

COMMANDER:  Orders the rest of the crew, mansthe M2 .50 gun.
DRIVER:  Drives the tank and turns the main turret.
GUNNER:  Fires the 120mm Smoothbore main gun and the 7.62mm coaxial gun.
LOADER:  Loads shells into the turret and fires 7.62mm loaders gun.
