Topic: Laser effect (2)

hello
first have to tell you that you are doing something of great and maybe never done before in a Star Wars games..

second i wish to contribute again, concerning the cosmetic of lasers, or better the reflections on the ground. It may appears excessive till to confusing the own laser. what do you think? maybe it should be decreased just a little? smile

Can't realy due to the fact that the Dynamic light used is an Omni light (very few choices of light) and reducing the effect further will create a light that is so small 90% of the time you would not see it, and when you did See it it would not stretch teh full length of the laser only a small area from teh centre of teh laser.

which i think would look even worse.

You never really notice how exactly the light reflect anyway, since its either moving too fast or you are looking at it from ground level.

Yeah, once you get in-game, it doesn't really look like that. The effects are great and you'll never, ever have time to study it like you can a screen shot since it's moving insanely fast. Plus the ground effects are nice since it can some times tell you where your enemy is at.

More to the point why has no one said "OMG@!!! YOU LOT HAVE DYNAMIC LIGHTS ON EVERYTHING!!! BOLTS MAKE EVERyTHING GLOW LIKE THEY SHOULD!!!"

I'm really surprised no one has picked up that fact yet, given we're on the bf2 engine where it is supposedly "impossible"
