Topic: First.....Time?

Whats your first time you encounted Star Wars?

Mine was when my Grampa got me a VCR (old school) for Christmas.. i dont know why as i was 6 years old and more entertained with ejecting the Videos in and out...

A Few weeks after my Dad bought me home my FIRST (as i mean Rightfully mine under any Circumstance) Video to play in it.

it was the First time they Digitly Remasted the Trilogy i think...

i got it... put it in... and Watched this movie continously over the next 6 hours.

i Was blown away

The Day after that i then Pretended that i was luke Skywalker zooming around in the Deathstar.

Thems the days when once you owned a lightsaber.... you was freaking cool lol

...but she seduced me, [sobbing]... and then when I realized she was pregnant, I had to flee to Taiwan, 'cause her cousin the kick-boxer-- what was that, now?

...

Oh. First time for Star Wars. Eh. Yeah. Right. Uh. Ah. Yeah.

Think my first experience was the Micro Machines Star Wars vehicles. I still own most of the ones I bought. I realized they had something to do with a movie series or something, but I had no idea what they really were tongue .

Re: First.....Time?

I don't remeber how old I was but I was still pretty young the first time I saw Star Wars was on TV.  The Empire Strikes Back was the first one I saw and still my favorite.  I remember asking my dad why it was Episode 5 (once he told me what the V was and that it was the second movie of three of them) if there were only three.  He didn't know and for a long time that really bugged me. smile

Re: First.....Time?

Hmmm...I believe the first time (I'm only 13, so I was expossed to the prequels first) I was probably fourish...or however old I was when episode 1 came out, and I would get star wars playsets and toys, and knowing about darth vader, yoda, jedi and other stuff, but not really knowing what they were for or from...

I later kinda found out actually about star wars, still though I was unfamiliar with the original trilogy. Then one time during thanksgiving, or some other holiday, a movie was on...it was a new hope. I asked about it, and was confused when they said it was star wars, as again, I had no idea about the original trilogy.

I kinda forgot about that, and a few years later, being 10 or so now, the 3rd movie was coming out. I saw it and loved it, as I did with episode 1(never saw episode 2) and I played the video game as well. For those who have played it, you know that as soon as you beat it, you get an extra level that is from episode 4, and a movie clip which I remembered from when I saw the movie years earlier...again I was very confused, and I looked into it, and since then have seen all of the original trilogy movies. I like them alot better then the prequels.

And now I've been getting into it alot more, especially while waiting for this mod...

Wow...That was a LONG post...

Re: First.....Time?

I was between 4 and 6 years old, on an airplane to... i dunno where... but i walked up to my aunt's seat in business class (she had gotten bumped up), and all i really remember was ships flying around in space.

It was prolly ep 5, judging by the time, and how quickly movies came out on flights after being in the theaters at the time. I don't remember much, except that i really liked flying and never saw another in-flight movie as cool as that... even basic instinct, which of course had all the good parts cut out for the general public (i think it ended up being about 14 minutes long)

It's not Camping anymore, it's "Strategic Defense".

... I didn't ram you, i simply didn't care that you were in my way.
