Yeah, long read...

Ya know though, with the mention of the contest, where you have to guess the size of the mod...It hit me...I have like NO space left on my hard drive...I can only hope its no more than 5GB...:(

5 GB? That would have to be a huge mod with alot of maps and content, heck, the average game aint bigger than 2.5 gigs. Though, who knows, we might all be really suprised with the size.

Because i know nothing, i would guess the size at around 1.4/6 gigs, sounds reasonable to me, for the amount of maps put into it, because it's like a demo release. But there has been put a whole lot of time into it... Enough time to complete a lot.

We'll see. smile

I can't imagine the first release being that big.
Most Source engine mods have rather small sizes like 200 megs so I'm guessing around 400-800 for FS's first release.

Re: That interview

ahhhh.... but add all thos new models... new Skins..... new Maps... Textures....

all adds up m8

Re: That interview

wrong rouzer, its not adding all those new models, textures, and what not, its overritting them for the most part. such as the eu guy model, the rebel isnt just made and take its place, no it takes over the eu model, and textures, to look like a rebel. and for sounds, the sound files are probably deleted and replaced by blaster noises and such. devs, if i am wrong plz tell me. i am guessing most modding is the same all around in basics, like scripting, modelling , skinning, shaders, and such, because i did a lot of halo 2 modding in my days
