Topic: Filehosters step ahead

So we're a few days away from RC1, fearing that the masses of people might shatter our servers.
Therefore I want to compile a list of all those of you willing and capable of hosting the RC1.
Please fill this out in the following fashion:


Domain/IP: http://wtflol.org AND/OR xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
Server speed: 100mbit
Way of hosting: FTP/HTTP/Torrent
Responsible admin(s): Peter Generic (pete@smith.com)


Please know that direct links are preferred and that you will need at least 15mbit to make it worthwhile.
You should also have a decent amount of traffic volume, we don't want half our mirrors unreachable after a short while. If you reply here you will either be added to some additional mirrors list on the forums or the mirrors list on the front page.

Bandwith per month:3,000 GB


If I can get hold of the file a day earlier(or at least a few hours depending on the file size) would be nice, unless we can do server to server transfer, my upload speed on my personal PC is horrendous.

Please note: 'Lucas files' will be the first site to host the mod, this is a legal obligation and is not negoitable. Once Lucas Arts has released the mod on ther servers, it is free for anyone to host.

That's not what I'm saying. I wouldn't release the file until it was said to be released by the FS team(by making the link live). It's just normal custom to have the files waiting on the hosting servers before  the actual "rush" happens. If I have to download it from lucas files(fighting the crowd) then upload it(from my personal PC) to my server for hosting then it's pretty pointless, cause by the time I get it uploaded the "rush" would be over. It's your choice, I'm just offering to help offload some of the bandwith as per the original poster comments. I'm not trying to " be the first to release" or whatever.

You are missing the point it is ILLEGAL for us to distribute Lucas Arts copywrited material (Star Wars) wtithout the concent of Lucas Arts. Giving you the mod is distributing copywrited material, if we do it is well within Lucas Arts's rights to shut us down if they so desire. We didn't make the rules lucas Arts and US copywrite law did. We have to play by these rules, we are not jepodising the mod for the sake of faster download speeds. The mod will be imediately uploaded too our sponsers (4uServers and HyperArena) servers for download when we get the all clear.

This isn't our choice this is the law.
