Topic: Error message

When I try to load FSM, I am gettin this error message:

Shaders/StaticMesh.fx not found!!! _DO_ check your working directory, _AND_ sync your folder before calling upon your local rendering programmer/GP. (really!)

Exactly like that.  I guess I will try to uninstall/install. But not a good start I would say. Reminds me of EA's bs installs....

That's very odd.  try uninstalling and reinstalling your mod.  Failing that consider reinstalling 2142 also.  Those would be my first two tips.  Also, make sure you have patched to 1.25

Patched what to 1.25?? 2142? I have been playing 2142 all week, and have never heard of a patch. Hmm.

And here is first example for the thread I had just started a second ago about making sure to backup your files before installing the MOD.

I dont see how thats possible. It installs in a seperate folder. /BF2142/mods/...  It shouldnt have any effect on whats in another folder.  I will try re-install tomorrow. Too late now.

I have the same problem. I tried re-installing the mod, and I still get the same error message and black screen. BF2142 crashes to a black screen, but without the error message.
