Topic: Comments on Dev Team
This really has nothing to do with FirstStrike the game per se. I did play a few rounds last night and although I am impressed with the work done regarding graphics, gameplay etc. something has impressed me even more the day after.
Soon after the general public gets its hands on someones work, by default alot of criticizm will be flying through the forums. Screams of "fix this, fix that" are expected. What has Impressed me more than the teams work on the mod has been thier reaction to the comments posted the day after release. I see comments from the Dev's such as "thanks for pointing that out", and "you are helping us fix the mod".
The easy way out when someone is insulting your "offspring" is to back-lash with "make your own mod then" etc. (which I have seen with some other mods regrettably). In the long run the Public Relations you build by your responses will reap the rewards by word of mouth.
I just wanted to thank the team for something you cannot code in a mod.....maturity and strength of character.
P.S. The game is good too....heh heh
