Topic: Some suggestion for improvement.

Well after playing some hours with a buddy, the sight (I don't know how to translate this) when piloting fighter is a little too large. Could you reduce its size or atleast propose another sight (I mean the cross for aiming a target, the big green thing).

There is also problem with the field of view when playing in space. You can't see the Star Destroyer if you 're to far. We just see a black fog. In the case we could see it, there still a fog which hide partially the destroyer wheither you put the max distance in the field of view in the graphic setting of the game.

I think for giving more experience of the game, is to put in-game Star Wars music. For now, First Strike lost his greatness because ofthe lack of music and especially when it refers to Star Wars. So, it's a must to put Star Wars music during in-game (or allow an option to activate it or not in the client side).

There are sometime I wish to pilot my fighter in third view but, actually you can't aim and pilot it easily. There is no aiming indicator. Is there a way to allow external view and pilot and shoot in third view like Rogue Squadron ?

About maps in space, could we see something more great than the 2 actual maps ? I mean a way to really participate in the conflict. You see a lot of Star Destroyer (at least 10 or more) with why not a Super Star Destroyer and in the other race, a bunch of Corellian Corvet, Frigate, Mon Calamari Cruisers/Destroyers ?

Could we expect to do some special map like the Death Star Trench ?

Oups, I forgot something. Could you integrate some sort of power management like X Wing Alliance ? (Shield, Laser and Engine).

we'll be makin the rebel ship crosshair more transparant

The disapearing ISD is due to the maximum level distance being 3000m  . We are tryin a few things out to combat that, but its an engine thing really. I hope we can improve it somehow.

As far as i know there is no way to add music ingame with a toggling option . We MAY be able to have liittle bursts of music using the ambient sound technique ...the same way the buzzing fly sound is done in mos espa. I dont know the sfx engine tho . Ulph is your man for that.


Dont think 3rd person view is possible along with a crosshair, for ships.


Interior lighting will be implemented.

More interesting , larger space maps will be made in the future . Death Star Trench Run will be in the next release

Shields systems like in Rogue Squadren is unlikely ,due to the engine, but we will be putting more effort into adding much more depth into space maps

So it's more about the engine itself. sad Too bad. However i'm still exciting to see your next release. It's been a while we don't have any Star Wars Space Opera since X Wing Alliance.

Edit : Could we expect to see a bunch of ships from the old trilogy and also from the Extended Universe ? ^^

Another thing, will you include the firing mode for fighters ? One by one, Double laser and Quad laser ?

Escape from Hoth...
With the ISD immobilized, should the Tie Fighters/Bombers be aware automatically where the rebel ships are?
If the Imp ships are given a Radar/Space Ping penalty to start, say 1-2 mins.
Without knowing where the rebel Gallofree transports are, would help the rebs in getting there ships out into space sooner and toward the objective.
Maybe even giving the squad leader the ability to call out an Ion Cannon strike to disrupt it again.
say once every 5-10 mins (for recharging purposes).
I think the atmosphere of the movie is there..but  Imperials knowing exactly where the rebs are when the game starts puts them at too much of an advantage.
As the Imps almost always win.
However i do agree with the startegy for the map. X-wings escorting, A-wings watching the back of the X-wings.. Y-wing/B-wing combos attacking the capitol ships.
It is a very fun map..I think just needs a few tweaks.
Those tweaks i mentioned would give it a more desperate feeling and maybe help both sides coordinate there Attack/Escape better.

mhm, in space maps the range of the fighters lasers bothered me a bit, seeing as you can shoot an enemy (capitol ship) from somewhere you cant even see it and still hit it, meaning there are lots of lasers travelling through the map wich imo caused some troubles i experienced today, it was somehow pretty laggy when flying between some cap ships and bombers with my tie, those b-wings just jumped from one position to another sad

so what i actually think that could improve this:
lower the max range for lasers or (i like this one better) include some overheat so you cant spam out hundreds of lasers into the space
