Youl probably be best taking out the tree(and the other same trees - i see 2 over to the left aswel) over on the right side of the above screenshot .
They use different textures and were obsolete long ago. They ,and its textures, were supposed to have been taken out of the mod before release
Can you specify what tree (file name), the one with the grey bark? I'm getting my feet wet with a map too and I don't want to use an obsolete static. Thanks.
And I remember a thread posted recently that was a soft smack to the face regarding lack of maps in FS. If people complain about the lack of maps then they should TRY TO MAKE ONE! Even with the third party tools in conjunction with BFEditor it takes a lot of time to create a quality map!
Thomazz-
I really like the work you've done and I have a few noob questions if you don't mind.
1. To make very low walls you pushed down them into the map. Will pushing statics into the map cause any problems/lag when playing?
2. I assume you used three layers for the terrain: hill, steep and low. Did you use the FS textures as supplied by Catbox's BF2-Paint for FS?
3. What did you use your remaining three layers for?
4. Is there an existing spline regarding roads for FS?
5. What map size did you create, 256 or 512?
6. Did you use Terragen or any other map terrain creator?
7. So you are not using any Undergrowth in the recent screen shots?
8. What tips do you have for those of us just getting started?
Thanks to you, and so many others for providing information for mapping!
Oh, and how the hell did you fall from the sky?
